Remembrance
"Rest in peace my good friend. Watch over us and the thousands of lives you have touched in this world. Because you dreamed big, you gave so many people a happiness they would never have had without you. We love you, we will miss you. I am honored to have known you, work with you and laugh with you. Most of all I am grateful and blessed you were my friend. You are Onverse and you will live in our hearts forever." I was crying when Nord Closed and I came to OnVerse. StevEO lifted me up to great happiness when I discovered his game, OnVerse, and helped me to find many new friends. Now my heart is heavy and crying again for more serious reasons and I pray for his family and close friends, and extend my deepest condolences to them all. I'm still extremely saddened by this sudden event. I can't seem to go longer than 30 minutes without thinking about him. The worst part is that my mind keeps trying to convince itself that none of this happened, so every time I think about him I have to relive the sadness I felt when I first found out about this. |
I am crying. I really wasn't honored to know the man. I can say for sure.. if I needed help with something he would be right there. Onverse is a place I go to (almost 6 years) where I have fun, be creative, see my friends, and yes... get in trouble sometimes. I decided that Onverse was my home since the very first day. Thanks StevEO for your hope, vision, and dream. See you on the other side !!! I'm really sorry to hear this... I cannot begin to express how heartbroken and devastated I am over hearing of this tragedy. I didn't know him personally, but feel like I knew him anyway. I've cried over this, for his friends, family, and everyone that had a relationship with Steve. He was a GREAT person. He will be missed. I'm so glad you've decided to continue keeping Onverse alive. Onverse has been a big part of my life for many years. Thank you all. Thank you Steve. RIP you will be majorly and sorely missed. |
Eslayer, The 3D artist behind Onverse commented on the Future of Onverse,
"I am very sad to see my good friend pass away this afternoon. I have a lot of great memories working with Steve to create this awesome virtual world for you all. It was Steve's dream to see Onverse become a great success and it has. I have seen countless friendships formed and people's lives changed. I know Onverse is very important to all of you and I want you to know that there is no plan to shut Onverse down. Onverse will live on just as it always has, it is bigger than me, Wes, and Steveo and it needs to be preserved. The future is unclear as of now as to how exactly this will happen. There is a lot of legal matters that will need to be taken care of first before we can think about moving forward with content and game updates, but I assure you this isn't the end of Onverse. Continue to enjoy yourself, make friends, and spread the word about the greatest virtual world ever."
